I was having issues with Firefox loading pages too. Turned out to be the NoScript extension. Might want to check if you have that installed and if so, try toggling it off and see if that helps.
It only happens in Private Browsing mode so fewer extensions are turned on. Does that mode somehow alter scripting function?
Not that I’m personally aware of, but I don’t know for certain. As far as I’m aware, private browsing simply discards all data when you terminate the session.
