Yeah, I totally agree. I suspect that some people use it as an excuse because they don’t actually want to publish the code.
I feel it’s used as a minipulation tactic.
- FOSS people don’t want to use closed source software.
- Lie and say you’ll “consider” open source-ing later even though you have no intention of ever doing so.
- Profit.
