Problem is, the solution you’re thinking of is no longer applicable when you can risk serious injuries, lifelong handicaps and even death for simple protests due to the current police brutality happening right now. The people is not as desperate as in 1789 when there was a huge famine, we still have things to lose.
Those risks were present in the 1700s too. Moreso even.
