Tbh, it’s tik tom blocking you, not the US, the US only requires the app stores to remove it. I think the easiest way for TikTok to find out where the request comes from is the client IP. And the only way to get around this is through a VPN. I don’t exactly know though, I haven’t seen a lot of technical stuff around it, and I’m not in the US to test it. I’d love to know if anyone else has a tip on this.
Zorin. But, tbh, imitators won’t offer the most streamlined, seamless experience out there nowadays. If you like the most authentic Linux experience while staying on the user friendly side I’d say go with Gnome. There’s KDE too, for an experience like older windows (eg. Win 7) and that’s pretty authentic as well, just not my cup of tea. Try them out and decide for yourself!
The new one looks so much better than that overdetailed crap, I don’t want a painting, I want an easily discernable icon. Also, I can’t believe we’re still doing Firefox so many years after its new logo debuted, especially since Thunderbird just changed their logo. In my opinion, it seems like people are just reiterating the same joke some bloke did without even looking up the why and how. And before you ask, yes I prefer the new Thunderbird logo too, it’s much more discernable.
Guantanamo bay was a thing ever since 2002. Biden and Obama tried to make it smaller. Trump is trying to grow it. If there was a clear action to be done that ended this abhorrence it would have been done by now already, but it has proved too resilient already. So no, there isn’t anything that’s gonna be done about it, except grow it as per Trump’s request.
